Introduced in June 2024 by Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Maryam Ki Dastak Program is a groundbreaking doorstep government service. This initiative allows citizens to request over 60 government services from the comfort of their homes using the Dastak mobile app, official web portal, or helpline 1202. A trained Dastak Facilitator visits your home, completes verification, collects documents, and delivers the service without the need for long queues or visits to offices.
How the Program Works
- Apply Online or by Phone: Use the Dastak App, website, or call 1202 to select the required service and provide your details.
- Book Appointment: Choose your preferred date, time, and location.
- Facilitator Visit: A trained facilitator arrives at your doorstep, collects documents, performs biometric verification, and processes your request.
- Payment & Delivery: A nominal fee is paid at the time of delivery after service completion.
Each facilitator carries a tablet and biometric device. Significantly, over 40% of the facilitators are women, promoting employment and gender inclusion.
